Old School Cattery and cats

Terms and Conditions

  1. All cats boarding at Old School Cattery must be fully vaccinated and microchipped. Vaccination records must be presented during drop off and must be valid for the entire stay of your cat. Microchipping is now a legal requirement as of 10/06/2024.
  2. Please check and ensure your vaccination records are valid before you arrive for drop off as they need to be done yearly. In the event of Vaccination records being out of date, this will result in denied boarding and incur full cancellation charges.
  3. Flea and worm treatment should be administered at least 7 days prior to start of stay.
  4. Special requirements needed by your cat, such as the administration of medication must be fully disclosed and discussed with us at the time of booking. We will NOT accept any cat that requires daily medication other than simple additions to their daily food intake.
  5. You fully agree that in the event of your cat falling ill during their stay, you will incur and pay for any Veterinary care. Should this occur, Old School Cattery will endeavour to contact you or the Emergency Contact supplied by you immediately. Old School Cattery will use its own, local Veterinary practice for all treatments required, including the cold storage of carcasses (Swayne & Partners, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3SP).
  6. When completing our Booking Form, please ensure to give us your full contact details as well as those of your designated emergency contact, in order for us to contact you in the event of emergency Veterinary care.
  7. We do our best to ensure your pet/pets are well looked after and take every care to do so. However all animals boarded with us are entirely at the owner’s risk. Please tick our terms and conditions box in our Booking Form agreeing to our Booking Conditions after you have read and fully understood same.
  8. We reserve the right to refuse boarding to any animal that looks in need of medical attention or is unsuitable for boarding.
  9. Food provided by the owner should be sufficient to cover the entire stay. Should we need to purchase more, this will be added to your bill.
  10. Cancellation of bookings: Deposits only will be forfeited if notice reaches us 14 days or more prior to start of stay. For shorter cancellation notices we will apply a 50% charge of the entire stay cost if we are able to re-let pen or a 100% if we are not.
  11. A £40 non refundable deposit is required in order to secure a booking.
  12. Any outstanding balance for the booking must be paid by BACS transfer prior to drop off or in CASH at drop off. Fees are charged by the day, to include both day of drop off and pick up.
  13. We do not accept any un-neutered male cats over the age of 5 months and un-neutered females over the age of 6 months.
  14. Viewing, drop offs and pick ups can ONLY occur during our opening hours which are:

0930 to 1130 and 1630 to 1830 Mondays to Saturdays and 0930 to 1130 on Sundays.

Don't be offended if you turn up and are denied admission at other times.
  15. If a cat is not collected within the pre-arranged time and we do not hear from you within the next 7 days, the cat will be considered homeless and we reserve to right to re-home at a rescue centre.
